keyboard shortcuts

Some of the people who use Opal (many of the people I will recommend it to) are not computer hot shots. So, when the Help or the Menu gives a keybaord equivalent for a command they may well not know what you had in mind. The simple remedy is to include a list of those short cut symbols in the Help and explain what they mean (this means Shift, that means Enter, etc.). Then I won't have to tell them.

Are you referring to things like the up-arrow for Shift? That's all Mac standard, and may appear in other applications as well. Also, the help (Help > Opal Help) spells out "shift," "option," etc.

I'm told all the menu item symbols are documented in the ebook, "Take Control of Customizing Tiger."

http://www.apple.com/macosx/tips/keyboard11.html describes the Keyboard Viewer, which also shows you how to access the various keys via their symbols.
