count word in a topic

I'd like to count the number of words in a topic or selected area.  How can I make it?  If ther are no function like this, please make it.

Right now, you'd have to copy the topic, create a new blank outline, paste, and then use View > Outline Info.

I'll add this to the list of possible features.

For the time being, use a freeware Word Service (v 2.6.1) from Devon technologies for counting words in a multiplicity of topics.
Select all or some of the topics in Opal, and select Statistics from Service menu.
The number of words in the selected topics is then indicated along with those of characters, spaces, lines, etc.
