Single-click rather than double-click?

It seems to me that most OSX programs react to a single click. At any rate, it feels weird and clunky to have to double-click to get outlines to open or close.  Certainly the Word outliner, which is very good, doesn't need that.

I like the simple HTML that Opal produces: I can use CSS to add a lot to the look.

Hey!  The double click behavior (along with its overall simplicity) of Opal/Acta is the main reason I like it!

With single click programs like OmniOutliner, topics frequently open when you have no desire for them to do so, which becomes very irritating very quickly.  For example selecting a topic with the intention of doing a 'move right', simply for organizational purposes, should not expand the topic - it will just make things harder while you work with it and require that you click it again to collapse after the move.

If all you ever did was inspect an outline you might have a point ... I don't know about you though, but I spend a lot of time organizing and rearranging my outlines and your proposed single-click behavior would be a nightmare.

If you insist on single click behavior feel free to use OmniOutliner, but leave my beloved Opal alone!  :-)
