In the fonts dialog the only way to step thru the fonts is to click on each one.

Can you make it so that when you're in the Font list, you can use the arrow keys to step thru the fonts one by one?
It would be much faster to select an unfamiliar font that way.

That's a system dialog, so I don't think I can do too much to customize its behavior.

If you really must arrow, you could probably turn on Full Keyboard Access (in the Keyboard & Mouse system preference). Or, click in the size field, then the Family list. This gives the Family list the keyboard focus, and you can use the arrow keys.
