Opal Feature Requests

I have used MORE for many years. It has been the first program that I open when I want to write or brainstorm. I have hundreds of files written with this program, including many successful business proposals.

I am upgrading to Leopard so I can no longer use MORE, which works only with Classic.

I need a program that can allow me to access my MORE files and retain their layout characteristics, such as fonts and line spacing.

Your product, Opal, looks wonderfully familiar and similar to MORE. Unfortunately, Opal cannot open or import MORE files. My request is that you make this feature available. MORE's code is in the public domain, so it might make this task easier.

I haven't done a feature by feature analysis of OPAL, so I can't comment on what might other features would be needed--except for one: columns.

Unfortunately, the file format for MORE is not documented. If it were, I would certainly support it.

I have been adding support for columns, but am not sure when this will be finalized.
