Opal Feature Requests

Under View, there are items "Focus," "Unfocus" and "Unfocus All." Are these going to be the same as Hoist was in MORE? At present they don't seem to do anything. It would be great to have a hoisting capability.

Yes. In fact, this will likely be the next feature implemented.

When I described the feature to my wife, her first concern was being able to keep track that you'd focused. That's concerned me too, and I wonder if this is actually a problem in other outliners. (I can't run MORE on my Intel machine, and some of the others have only a subtle indicator -- as does Opal at the moment.)

Focus is now implemented but, in my opinion, not completely. If one tries to print a focused outline, the whole outline still prints. I believe that, once hoisted only that part should print.

I added this as case 99. I'm likely to add a "Print Only Focused" checkbox though since it's sort of a transient state. (Also "Print Only Filtered Topics.")

BTW, "Print Current Family Only" isn't implemented yet either (case 86).

Print only filtered topics would be most excellent!

Print Only Filtered isn't necessary -- use Print Only Visible. (I suppose I could change the text of the checkbox to reflect this.)

As long as 'print only visible' works properly with filtered topics (which doesn't appear to be the case right now) then that's fine and changing the name isn't necessary (or desirable).

Print only visible topics seems to be working with filtered topics in 1.0d15. If it's not working for you, please file a bug with a test file if possible.

Yikes!  I just saw this, and it's NOT working for me.  I'll try to 'prove' it and post a bug.

OK.  Posted as #147 with a demo outline

The problem (i.e. Print Only Visible Topics not printing all filtered topics) only occurs when the topics were collapsed before filtering, but it does occur.
