Open More files

More was the successor program to Acta. Symantec's More was the first program our firm bought at a 1986 MacWorld in Boston. We still use the program.

But More will not be usable on our next Macs (without Classic).

We have hundreds of More files. Although the slide show presentation features will be lost (they were a MORE add-on just being able the outline and notes from our old More files would make your program a must for our company.

I know I shouldn't talk about other products here, but TAO will open MORE files, with notes and other formatting, and save them as OS X usable files. It is the closest to MORE that I have found, so far. Opal is much faster, though, and as the feature set improves, it could be a suitable replacemnt. Being able to open MORE files would be a distinct plus.

It's perfectly OK to say "I'd like to see feature X, like in product Y." You're right that this isn't really the forum for discussing relative product merits etc.

Since I wrote MORE import years ago, I can probably get this into version 1.0.

Oops, I wrote MORE *output* years ago.

The file format seems not to be available http://www.faughnan.com/more/index.html#FAQ so this won't be in version 1.0 (if ever).
