Writing files that Acta can read

I have some older Macs that run 10.2.8, and some of them can't go any further; on them I can use Acta, but when I tried opening an Opal file it couldn't do it.  I don't seem to be able to open Acta files with Opal either.  I would love to be able to go back and forth.

If Opal can't open an Acta document, it's a bug. Please visit http://www.a-sharp.com/fogbugz/default.php?pg=pgPublicEdit and attach the offending outline.

I'm trying to draw the line on features so there can actually be a release -- I'd be interest in hearing how many other people need to share files with Acta, given that there are already some features which Acta doesn't support (like text and graphics in the same topic).

I opened all the Acta files I could find, including the included Sample Outlines, without any problems.

Dragging an Acta file to the Opal icon in the Dock doesn't do anything and should, imho.

Dragging an Acta file to the Dock icon works for me... (At least while the application is open.)

Dragging an Acta file to the Opal dock icon worked for me, whether the app was already open or not.

See my post in the other discussion group about doing this.

Note that it may only apply to Dyno Notepad (of course you could beg David to give you that!)

It also fails with very large outlines, though I expect the problem is with Notepad.
