tab control in Opal outlines

If this is in the manual somewhere, I apologize, but I can't find it.

I have a complex decimal outline
1.1
1.1.1
1.1.1.1
1.1.1.1.1
etc.
and I'd like more control over the alignments and indents of the sub levels in the outline. I can't find a ruler guide or any tab control. 

Is there any?

No, there's no way to change indent or alignment. The idea being that it's hard to see structure if those varied.

How exactly do you want to change them?

I'd like to be able to control the amount of indent for the sublevels and to align the decimal numbers on the last decimal so the levels are visually easier to discern.

 3.2.1.9 Department of Homeland Security
3.2.1.10 Department of Human Resources

are on the same level, but visually it's disconcerting when they line up as above. What you'd like to see is:

 3.2.1.9    Department of Homeland Security
 3.2.1.10  Department of Human Resources

The latter would be easy to produce if you could control a tab alignment between the number and the word "Department".

Does that make sense? I could email you a copy of my Opal outline and you could print it out to see clearly the problem I'm describing, if that would help you.

Hmm, I think I see what you want, but can't think of a great way to do it. This would mean that when you add the ".10" (or the ".100") topic, many topics above it might have to reformat.

I don't think this would be much easier to do for printing only.
