Using Opal

For reasons I can't guess, Opal has begun to crash irreparably at the last stage of my work: "Save to .pdf."
It hangs up at "Preparing."  I do a complete restart, go back to that same file, order "Print to .pdf," and Bingo! it does it.  But the next file, I go through the same process.  Think I might have somehow corrupted my "Opal" program itself?
